For production of SCOVO dishes, high-quality anti-adherent coatings of world leaders DuPont and Whitford are used. These coatings are made on polytetraphtorethylene (PTPE) basis.
PTPE is an inert material with features close to those of precious metals, not undergoing reactions with most of aggressive environs. This ensures high ECO-safety of these coatings.
Some buyers think that anti-adherent coating will quickly come off the dish. But this is a myth which can be explained either by breach in technology of coating application, (defects, bad equipment of a manufacturer etc.) or by improper use.
Any coating used for production of SCOVO dishes has the following structure:

But one should remember that some coatings shall not be subject to metal items impact (spoons, forks etc). Metal cutlery may be used only for most expensive coatings with much more than two layers. Apart from it, such coatings have a bit different composition. Scovo uses Teflon Platinum ® coating for production with such features. You may find information about such coatings on the wrapping or in product description.
Methods of coating application.
Today, there are two principal methods, each having its own advantages: roll-on method and spray method.
A roll-on method allows application of all layers during a short production cycle. Thus, cost-efficient and large-scale production is achieved, that makes dishes with anti-adherent coating available for majority of consumers; all anti-adherent features of such coating remain unchanged. At “Demidovsky” and “Scovo” plants, there functions a roll-on line in the most modern and progressive equipment – with 5 rollers.

Spray method is a second method of anti-adherent coating application. Main advantage of this method is significant thickness of anti-adherent coatings (up to 40 mcm). This ensures unparalleled strength of coating and prolongs life of the whole dish.

Dishes with sprayed coating belong to premium class. That’s why in European countries, notwithstanding of modern and cost-effective roll-on technology, expensive high-quality dishes are still produced according to the traditional spray method.
